They didn't wanna make it too easy for a mage to go around and equip every pet on a raid with insta clicky pet weapons I guess. heh

They may be lore, but that hasn't stopped me from giving 2 of them to pet. They both display, so its either equipped or a visual bug.

its possible that lore doesn't affect pet wielded weapons.

Yeah, pets are treated as NPC's, so lore has no effect on being able to equip two daggers. All it means is you can't summon two daggers at once to give to the pet. You get to summon them individually and open the pet trade window twice, which is more of an annoyance than anything.

Yeah just another shining example of SoE's elegant coding. /sigh

Yeah, don't want pet's to be easily equipped at raids, god forbid lol.

Any record of pets beign able to accept the cleric hammers ( pre-Luclin, aka not proc hammer, just the undead+ damage ones?)

You got to admit tho - you mages are sneaky bastids when it come sto pets and pet weapons... - The Suspend/Slow hammer trick $$$ -

I bet others existed at one time :P

Yeah, about the only major problem with it is you can't hand two of them for a friend to equip his pet. Your best bet is to have the friend get a pet up and you equip it yourself (which is usually what I do when a friend wants pet toys anyways).

I'm not sure about the cleric hammers either. Do they have a no-drop tag on them? If so, pets were made to not equip no-drop items quite some time ago. I remember one item that used to be nice for pets was the Seru sword that's not equippable by anyone, but pets used to weild it just fine. Pets equipped with that would kill stuff quite well from what I hear. Too bad I got my Seru sword after this was nerfed. :banging:

So far, only the one slow stick has been nerfed, but pets can still equip several others. I haven't used any slow sticks yet, because I just don't care to have to rely on a proc to do my killing. Plus most of the things I solo like Murkglider caves, I can kill that stuff without the use of any slow anyways.

They nerfed the slow stick so pets won't accept the item, ain't that some shit?

Really tho, our class isn't meant to slow. DS is a contradictory concept.

As for no drop hammers, Jim is right.

the summoned cleric hammers (including procs) probably used to work on FV. The hammers were tradeable for a while but they did end up making them no trade eventually :(

but I remember going around with the level 68 hammer or whatever it was some nice cleric summoned for me, with a level ..1 cleric. and it was proccing...

that was some seriously easy leveling. lol. kept that thing on my corpse for weeks
