Weapon Aggro (Warriors!)

Postby bill » Wed May 10, 2006 3:17 pm

So, let me preface this with my huge mistake. When I got the Edge of Eternity recently, I began asking warriors high and low on how they felt about the best 2 of the 3 following weapons:

Orcish Bone Axe (DoN)
Hategiver
Edge of Eternity

I got a wide range of responses. Then someone posted a link to the steel warrior (Warrior forums) for an Uqua strat and I was digging around and found an aggro calculation tool!!!!! FINALLY!

I had never heard of this before and it really takes out ALL of the guesswork and parsing and all that shit. Someone else already did it for us!

So, my mistake was that I kept my Hategiver (because it is just the shit and I can't let go) and kept the EoE and sold the DoN axe for the MOUNTAIN of crystals it and the aug I had in it were.

Well to start with, I was using a lifetap aug when I really should have thrown a damage mod. aug in, but I didn't as I was going for the added survivability of those lifetaps over the added aggro of the extra dps aggro since my AA's and AC were kinda hurting.

Well, I decided that going for RAW procs has always saved my ass before, so I cashed in the DoN axe for the HG/EOE combo.

This is one of those shining moments where I realize I had my head in my ass and I wish I knew about this calculator SOONER!

So I share with all of you.

Yoda from TSW, /salute

Sam Deathwalker, thank you for making a self-extracting version of the .XLS

1. find W.txt
2. right click on the file.
3. Save Target As
4. Change name of file to W.exe
5. Double click on the executable after it is downloaded to your local machine.
6. Sip and enjoy the hardwork of Yoda and Sam Deathwalker.

right click on the file. click rename. type in new name with new extention. You might have a problem if you hide known file extentions. go to folder options and uncheck hide known file extentions.

It's good and all, but there's no SK wpns in there. Those guys had way too much time on thier hands to come up with those formulas. Glad they shared it :razz

If you want Boo, you can actually add *ANY* weapons to that spreadsheet. See how they stack up, I know there are some SK usable weapons in there.

as far as raiding solteris, the best weapons for warriors go in this order, 1.solt war only weapon
2. arkekor from AG
3. epic
4. BBoB
5. swiftblade
6. DBoW
maybe a few missing, but i mainly use 2.5 and BBoB on my box war, he has swiftblade, dbob, 2.5, vish stick ect, and a bunch of other ok weapons

Robag how are the warrior's doing in terms of efficiency tanking who can you count on to tank for te time needed. Who can you count on to hold agro over anyone in raid... how well do you think they can tank MB and would they be able to tank MB the whole time? (MB=Minning behemouth)
