i hear we also have a new disc called Cry Havoc, 50% increase to crit rate for group, and it has a short reuse timer

Well I recently make a zerker and while hunting google at work I found the zerker webpage full of forums etc.

I read alot of threads going on about what they would like improved etc. and thought I'd throw in an idea into the mix (Scary-looking zerker = reduce mob atk or ac if they are beating on it - I thought it was a decent idea but apparently not). Anyway the thread somehow turned into all zerkers in Norrath telling me how good zerkers are, and here is the rundown I got:

Low end - dps is NOT sub-par contrary to popular belief, they hit as well as any other class with a 2-hander, and get frenzy as a bonus (kind of like gimp backstab, but not as gimp as some would lead you to believe).
Also at low end, you get a very slight increase in offense over warriors - your offense maxed out at X level is always 5 higher than a war can go (war's can go 5 higher in defense though).

Snare lasts one minute and is instant cast

Stun is also instant cast - damn handy imo

Throwing axe dmg high end can easily crit 500+ with the right AAs, not on par with a ranger but really shouldn't be

As they are on the same HP table as plate, they should be able to off-tank easily enough as the situation requires in a normal group environment - they aren't raid tanks though

High end AAs include more strikethrough AAs than any other class, making them a more mean and nasty bit of dps from any angle (not like these dodgy rogs coming up from behind)

All in all, an equally geared rog and zerker high end should parse roughly the same in dps - so really it comes down to whether you want to be able to hide/sneak or have insta stun and snare.

Problems with zerkers:
they don't have an endless quiver AA equivalent
they lose a potential slot for more stats by having their throwing axes in the range slot (rangers have bows to cover this issue)
they eat endurance like no other, and are badly in need of a method of increasing end regen (many are asking for a 'canni' style method of end regen)
and my own personal observation: the majority (especially barb zerkers) roleplay their class like no other, and act like asses (not including Blood, but if any of you have heard of a zerker called 'Slaughtering Babies'... I rest my case)

This is what I learn from my apparent attack on the zerker class when I posted on their forum. Hope this helps some

heh, i waited a long time... too long i guess. zerker hasnt made an appearance in a while.
