Using LoS makes pulling casters a lot easier.
aka, when you agro caster mobs, and they decide to start casting a spell, they'll stand there like idiots until their spell finishes. This buys you some time to run around behind an obstical like a wall/pillar/tree/corner/rock/whatever if there's one nearby and get out of their line of sight.
The first spell they cast will still land no matter what, but to get another one off you have to be in their LoS, so they'll run for you, pathing them away from their origin and giving you time to safely fd without fear of interupts. If they get too close and start casting again, wait til the second spell hits before you fd, or else fd will break. Pray to god that they don't both decide to give up and wander back to their origin at the same time. Camera angles and that handy-dandy mouse wheel scroll kick ass for this.
Also, it seems that using throwing weapons will increase the chance for both mobs to agro. Sometimes you can get them to split cleanly and easily just by creeping up to a mob until you're in the very edge of its agro radius. Then hopefuly you've got something to use to get out of its LoS so it runs back to camp without stopping to cast on you.
Basicaly, splitting unlullable casters is a bitch, and without stonewall 5 and high resists the best tool I know of is patience.
