FREE 7-day Trial

Postby Vikk » Fri Apr 01, 2005 10:50 am

FYI, EQ2 now has a free 7-day trial:

http://www.trialoftheisle.com

I'm patching it as we speak. Do we have a Tribal presence on any of the servers yet?

Oh, a word of advice, start your trial early in the day. The initial patching takes over 12 hours and I've already lost my first day of the trial to patching.

Ozdan sent Zyzz and I a copy of EQ2 with an activated account.

Its currently collecting dust on my shelf atm.

I still just have way too much shit going on in EQ1 to think about another game hehe.

Well shit, now I gotta try it. Guess I won't be on this weekend :-/...At least I'll be on to lead the raid.

Eh, screw it. I don't have time for EQ2.

But then again, it would be nice to check out...Sigh...

Well, you can only exp to level 6 so it's not like you're gonna be totally committed. Let's all choose a server so we can putz around while we /afk /follow raid in EQ1. :razz

I did my trial already for 2 months, and back here I am. I don't dislike EQ2, it was pretty cool, but I yearned for the original again. :razz I really need to stop paying for it now.

naw, I had to activate teh account myself, he did send the software tho. Game sucked IMO....just plain suck.

Graphice were great, but the gameplay was like a shoot em up Diablo.

Pass.

You can only level to 6 with the trial version? That can be done in an hour or so.

I play EQ2 still occasionally, but was having fun in EQ when it came out and didnt really want to leave EQ. EQ2 is alot of fun, my wife and I really enjoy it, but I am not into it as much as EQ.

Graphics are really amazing...it's really cool when the grass parts as you walk through it or the water reacts realistically when you swim through it.

Okay, I'm a Dark Elf on Highkeep named, guess what? Vikk.

I can't imagine what it will be like when EQ2 has as much (or more) content than EQ1. The game engine has a lot of potential. We'll have to see how the game is after 2 or 3 expansions.

EQ2 has little mini expansions for $5. First one is out, or coming out very soon. If you have the station pass the mini expansions are included. I think I read somewhere they will have a full expansion this year sometime.

EQ2 is getting alot of attention from Sony, almost every patch refines the UI, quest system etc.
