On your most recent Grummus hit, I wronged Thezoe by forcing her out of the bidding and letting Fnord loot the Malarian Leg Ear Stud.

This change would have taken care of that and it would have been fine. Its not the first time something like that has happened.

So, unlike some of my thoughts on changes, this one has a direct, practical impact on us.

So yes, this is needed. It will make a difference. For those of you like Goofy who have one toon, this won't matter to you at all.

Umm, I have 2...Count em...2 alts. Is Thezoe a alt? I think mains should always have priority over alts. Although, maybe all toons should be considered mains when they are raiders. Hmm...

how do you determine what is an alt when someone has 2 toons that are active raiders ?

My 2 cents: Officers should always have the ability to intervene in looting. Raid loots are the property of the guild. DKP is simply an aid to fair distribution.

If we wanted officers involved, we'd be god looting stuff. Anytime a officer steps in and says so and so gets this loot and you don't...There is going to be a major problem. This can happen, but it needs to be stated BEFORE the raid begins. We can't be having any surprises. This has caused all kinds of problems in the past.

This sums up the problem exactly.

Who are we to decide what an alt is. If peeps earn points based on who they raid with they can upgrade based on who they raid with at the same pace they raid. Terms like mains and alts maybe aren't really as important to Tribal Fury just because other guilds care about what a person considers their toon. IF peep wants to consider their selves one main or 3 - so long as they are Tribal Fury I am happy.

Also there are times where a raid leader just need peeps to camp their warriors and play their necro in order for us to win.

God loot owns in terms of guild progression. God loot blows in terms of making the people happy.

Just because they can intervene doesn't mean they should. Yes, intervening all the time is VERY BAD. But stepping in once in a blue moon (assumably for the good of the guild) is not a bad thing.

Oh, and don't always assume that decisions made by the officers will piss people off. You guys are selling yourselves short. The guild being as healthy as it is right now, you guys actually deserve some credit as to keeping people happy.
