Pets zone with their owners.

If anything, THIS makes up for the pet canni change. It also makes buying pet affinity for 20aa much more worth the cost.

Kinda makes me regret selling the slow-proc weapon I had a while back, with Goner being able to zone with weapons, all I can say is hot diggity dayum!

It will be nice to be able to summon my warder before an Ldon and get it ready, but can you imagine the lag in PoK with 50 pet classes screaming for virtue for their pet?
Did anyone ever answer the question about DC pets? It would be pretty sick to poach and mob from a zone, then bring it into an Ldon.

Hmm...Beastlord warders used to follow you from zone to zone too, but they were so horribly broken they had to change them to work like pets. Hope they get it right this time :)

For my next trick

Postby Trackah » Wed Jun 30, 2004 1:53 am

For my next trick, I'll need a DC-capable Chanter, a dire-charmable Tier 3 mob, and a zone full of unsuspecting ... anyone. Just think of the havoc you could wreak with this in a crowded lowbie zone with a dire charmed pet. Just camp out and Presto, Paludal Caverns is closed for the week. Just imagine what someone coould do if they wanted to cause some chaos :spank .

Only player summoned pets zone with the owner, not DC pets.

yeah say you DC'd the low level robot in PoInnovation and got it to PC..

That doesn't work because - PC doesn't have those mobs. Thats really the big reason. That zones code and shit doesn't include those things, its all pretty set. thats when they add something to a zone you have to redownload the zone... its all tied into that single file.

So yep, just summoned pets!

though that would be pretty sick.

hey Q, since you brought it up, what about the monster summoning line of spells?

Kinda puts your explanation in a spin.

Monster Summoning

Postby Trackah » Thu Jul 01, 2004 2:18 am

Well, given that when you bring a monster summoning mob out of suspension (suspended minion) it'll take on a new image, I'd have to assume that it would just default to one of the available models in the new zone.
