I started to check out the Beta and the day after I got the game downloaded and running, the Beta ended. Looked pretty good, but for my 7 year old computer, it was barely playable on the lowest settings. If I ever get some money and a new computer, it is a game I will probably get in to.

Somebody I know is max level already and found there appears to be no end game and so stopped playing because now it is boring.

Heh, WoW had no end-game when it came out relative to what EQ players had become accustomed to.

Planes of Power still holds a special place in my heart for their implementation of "end game". The Plane of Time wasn't even finished and when they finally let people in and gods started laying down, they were dropping cloth caps because the sony team hadn't itemized the bosses yet.

Smooooooth =)

I have to say as a current wow player, its hard to imagine Rift being different enough to bail on wow for. I never thought I'd play another MMO after EQ and here I am playing WoW so there's that. I can't get anyone to tell me about parts of Rift that aren't like wow.

I'm interested, tell me a story!

Goofy is the beginning of the end of humanity.

Also, there's no shame in my game! Perhaps you should tell me that I didn't play EQ enough? ;)

As I understand it, rift is like WoW and EQ combined. I saw at least that much during the Beta and I liked it. But, my piece of shit computer was to low to get passed level 5 and out of the general starting area.

But, once you get max level, the game is pretty much over and to annoying to continue.

Its hard for me to be that interested in another MMO when, THere are 4 expansions worth of EQ I have barely touched (One not at all). I mean I could have weeks of adventure still in SOD, SOF, and um... what was the Island one? TOB?
