When driving nails through boards, you want to make sure you have a firm grip on the hammer.

Oh they're thinging right along.

Rae's pregnant, that should be entertaining. She's about 13-14 weeks in.

Our cat was diagnosed with diabetes the same day we had the first ultrasound taken. Super fun!

Other than that, I'm trucking through the last year of my IT system admin degree after Rockstar laid off the entire New England QA dept along with a host of other folks back in the summer of '08.

Really enjoying the new wow expansion. Plenty of bugs to get pissed at. I remember a time when I'd write up all sorts of bug tickets but now considering I am not getting paid to do it, fuck 'em. Let them actually pay some of their zillions of duckets on some decent QA.

Of course, the QA could be totally awesomesauce but if the project managers aka producers decide some bugs are too risky to fix and better to leave in until they figure them out, no amount of QA can help that. Most bugs that ship fall into that category of "we know about it but fixing it would result in way too many other unknowns and we just don't have the time to do that."

Of course, Blizzard loves to say things like "we don't ship a game until it is ready," when asked about what is taking so long. That is one of the biggest bullshit lines in the industry. $$$ says when a game ships, and that's the bottom line, bugs or not.

So yeah I guess that's the long of it. I miss the EQ crew, obviously since I STILL haunt these boards. My wow guild consists of about 3 RL friends and 1 guy from my server that I rolled with tons back before the last expansion shipped.

It's quiet, I don't have to administer anything, we have no guild policies: its a hilarious departure from my time in TF.

Raiding has come to a grinding halt on my server as ppl amble their way to 85. I'm currently 84 and about 25% of the way through. My biggest hobby in that game is collecting non-combat pets and mounts. I've got something like 104 mounts and about 114 pets.

I really was enjoying the pickup group atmosphere there for raiding. I was able to see end game content without having more than 5 active members in my guild. Good times!

Plus, I get to be the guest that laughs at guild drama at arm's length since I am always just a guest. But since loot is generally easier to get than in EQ, ppl are less guarded about letting guests get a crack at it.

I play a DPS priest, which always felt like an oxymoron but it is definitely viable. I enjoy my secondary ability of throwing down heals when the healer gets smoked or steps in some glowing shit and is about to die. Not being depended on to heal though, very nice.

Oh yeah, Kiyun recently came back. He seems to be doing well, he's doing some form of blueprint drafting. I'm unclear if it is his job or for educational purposes.

Irishhealer and Jeren were in my guild for a short time, but then moved on to more organized pastures. Irishhealer eventually stopped playing but also recently came back after the expansion went live.

Uhhh, I can't think of anyone else. I haven't gotten a 3am phone call from Arielyn in a long time. I hope he's doing alright. Last I heard he was on Feathermoon playing alliance. Alliance /shudder.

As far as I can tell, all the Pittsburgh folks we used to have in TF that went to Durotan have all quit. I had a toon in their guild but they bounced me because a bunch of ppl got butthurt when I logged on my low-level mage and took a piece of low-level gear from the guild bank. That kinda killed my desire to hang out with them haha.

Kung and the San Diego crew were on Bonechewer, I checked in over there many moons ago to find that they had all disappeared as well.

Wow that got long really quickly. TLDR!
