TF Reunion Raid Marchish 2011 - for Fabled POP

Postby Serano » Fri Oct 08, 2010 2:46 pm

So - I mentioned this last year or something - that our first two reunion raids were not that successful - but if given positive feedback I think a go at a reunion raid this coming March for Fabled Pop (specifically Time)might be a good idea again.

Gives some feedbacks!

I assume you would want current EQ players that are ex-TF.

For those players fabled PoP would likely be very boring. The gear, other than unique clickies, would rot or go to alts. Most players will be level 90 and would easily best content designed for level 75's (or is it 80?). House of Thule droppable gear will easily outclass Fabled Time gear. (Hopefully I will have replaced my Fabled Time hat by then!!!!)

I would still go, but it would be for the old friends not the raid itself.

Fabled Anguish or Demiplane maybe? hehe if only. Since we'll be up to level 90 by then I think SoE needs to ramp up the Fabled mobs beyond Time... athough the Time one is a classic everyone could attend, many retirees that might show up won't be level 90, I bet still a few 70-ish would show up. That aspect makes sense to have the reunion in Time.

Well, if I am still around in March, I would consider attending something. I'm not sure PoP would be the right choice seeing as I can probably solo the whole thing with any one of my toons.

If I wanted to do something with people just for fun, we could just clear Misty Thicket. The end result would be the same. No reward. Or, if the goal is to just get together with people and get drunk at home and have memories, we could just all meet in the Arena and beat each other senseless.

Well - last time I saw us go into Fabled Time - no one could solo the top mobs - in fact we ran into some stand stills on the boss mobs past a certain level one time and another time we smoked it.

The reason I like Time is because ANYONE that activates an account can go - and you can get 72 peeps into the raid if we had that kind of a turn out.

And the intent would be for former TFers either still playing or attempt to get them to reactivate their accounts for the month - I mean really $14 to play with old pals one day isn't too expensive IMO.

But not fixated on the target. We could really do anything - Time is nice because it is uncontested and you can get 72 peeps in. Demi doesn't require flagging anymore? Meanwhile - many peeps would have that DOT/snare effect if they were returning players - and lets face it the scripts on anything past Tier 1 is NOT like riding a bike. But open to suggestions - or we can forget it. I think with a Media campaign - and emails to peeps it could be entertaining at least. I think one of the last things I spent DKP on was a Time Fabled Bow.

Deathknell may excite some people. They discontinued Circle of Whatever 3 clickies but they still work for any level people. In fact CoM3 lets me burn for like half a minute longer on raids and affects everyone around me. Cool beans. Really I'd just like to see the place again but the aug would be hawt too. (Fat chance we'll see it.) Something for everyone.

And FC/AG would be even easier depending on classes. Who doesn't like auggages.

There's lots to do that's worth it. It's just a matter of if people will show up.

Editz: Lawls I forgot people have to have the stupid Fetters of Ro. I don't know if ya' still have to do that task to get in or not either. Oh well. ... I still have mine...! It is a reunion after all lol, maybe some people will have theirs. x.x;

I'd probably be up for whatever. Problem here is going to be picking a night where ex-TFers aren't raiding with another guild already.

Goofy brings up a good point, heh.

My guild raids on weekends but usually in the mornings. And are fockin' weird about the rest of the days. They post their schedules per week. Only friday saturday and sunday are static raid days. Fortunately most other guilds aren't quite so wonktacular.

AD doesn't raid on friday/saturday. I don't know about CN.

Discuss.
