The cottage my family goes to has a basement that is exactly 6' 4 1/2" tall.....if I straighten up, I can bump my head on the drywall. There is an I beam that does run in the middle of the basement that I have clocked a few times. One time I was carrying a turkey (to be deepfried) and I hit my head so hard my wife was shocked I didn't knock myself out or drop the bird.
I think the reason I do not hit my head more at the cottage is because I grew into the basement, since I have been going there for most summer weekends for 40 years.
I knew Bill/Drannor was taller than me. 6'4" or 6'5" tall is what I consider the edge of "normal" height, I know a bunch of people around my height. You start getting 6'8" or more then that is what I consider tall. Any woman over 6 feet would be tall as well. I have only met one woman who was as tall as I was, she was my dental hygenist for a few years, the first time she called me back out of the waiting room I was quite surprised that we were identical heights. Not bad looking either....often really tall women kinda look odd....
