The time has come

Postby ThinkInk » Thu Apr 01, 2010 9:05 am

I have been playing this game for over 9 years and resisted the urge to raid for the first 6 years, until one of my regular group members decided they wanted to join Tribal Fury and return to raiding.

My first TF raid was an epic event for me, and something so humorous the old timers in the guild still laugh about. Much to my surprise I really enjoyed raiding and looked forward to our next raid with great anticipation.
All the same rules we have now were in effect then but our past guild members made a concerted effort to attend the scheduled raids. Most of our raids were completely full and it was common to have people waiting for a spot to open.

I fought hard against the proposed changes that would have made TF a more serious raiding style guild with the mistaken belief that the people that joined us wanted to raid. My point to everyone was: Why join a raiding guild if you’re not going to raid?

But the raw reality is that most people don’t want to raid, they just want the recognition of being members of a raiding guild and leave the work to those few that are more hardcore players. Since our recent breakup there might have been 2 raids that had a waiting list and 98% of the raids didn’t add up to 36 people.

I am explaining myself to you here because I don’t want any conjectures made as to the reason why I am leaving Tribal Fury. I have just grown tired of waiting for more serious raiding to occur. I have found myself often falling asleep at the keyboard during our so called raids lately, only to find out that I was wide awake as soon as I logged off.

This wasn’t an easy decision and I didn’t make it lightly, especially considering that I will be taking Magimay with me. I hold all the officers and members in the highest regard and wish you all the best in your future adventures.

Should anyone need any class advice in the future or just want to chat for a bit please feel free to contact us anytime we are online.

Robag - thanks for stepping up and taking lead with the warriors. There have been many raids where without you, there wouldn't have been a raid. Best wishes as you find your next home.

Take care, Robag. /friend me in game. I'd be more than happy to trot along with you if you're still interested in the non-raiding aspect of the game.

Rob, Magi, Cydian, and Solar... you've been a big part of TF for a long time, and it is a sad day so see ya'll go. Thanks for all the time ya'll have put in, and I think I speak for most when I say we wish you all the best, and if ya'll ever wish to return the door will always be open for you. /salute
