i get alot of requests from melee for symb/ward from melee. what is the hp/ac/regen like for melee vs teme? the reason i ask this is i would like to understand better why some prefer that to teme.. just trying not to be such a noob.

hehe least it doesn't use a reagent anymore

I could be wrong but, depending on spell ranks, symbol/ward + druid skin is a little better just doesn't last as long. It's also better for some melee's that have mana like Knights.

Totals for Ironwood + Sym + Ward(Rk. II's):
1: Increase AC by 175
2. Increase Max Hitpoints by 2676
3. Increase Mana by 13 per tick

Totals for Temerity(Rk. II):
2: Increase Max Hitpoints by 2904
4: Increase AC by 144

AHh so it's the AC (175 vs 144) they are after while almost being same HP.

Paladins cast a self only buff that stacks with Temerity, but not Ironwood.

Armor of Inexorable Faith Rk II adds
59 AC
710 hp
7 mana per tick

So a small sacrifice in mana regen for gains in hp and AC is a no brainer for Paladins.

I ask for them to be more of a pita, the more people I can send buff requests 30 seconds before engage the better !!! hehe j/k.

As a warrior I go for the extra AC, the small diff in hps is minimal at best but the diff in AC can play a huge factor.

Not trying to revive dead threads all day long, but had to make a correction... symbol / wood / ward is better hp, better ac, and has the mana regen. Someone did incorrect calculations when they posted info. Here is the correct info with SoD Rk. II spells:

Symbol: 2401hp
Ward: 134ac
Skin: 1632hp 81ac 20mr
--
Total: 4033hp 213ac 20mr

Gallantry: 3775hp 176ac


And here is the info for spells that were mentioned in older post that were incorrect:
Symbol: 1847hp
Ward: 109ac
Skin: 1255hp 66ac 14mr
--
Total: 3102hp 175ac 14mr

Temerity: 2904hp 144ac

There's always been bonuses to using the combination for most classes, but the issue is that it takes 3 buff slots rather than 1 and the buff duration is much lower.
