This weekend 24-26 MAY Mana Familiar

Postby Serano » Sat May 24, 2008 10:04 am

This weekend for $10 you can buy a Kobold Familiar that increases mana pool by entering a LoN tourney. Once the tourney starts you can drop after you receive your reward if you are not intending on "playing" You will also receive 3 booster packs and a reward playable card

http://forums.station.sony.com/strategy ... ic_id=9449

So if you want a mana pool boost (prolly between 250 and 500 ) this is the deal for you.

Bah, you forgot to mention that you need to have a deck of cards to play in the tourney and that will cost another $9.99 to buy a Starer Deck. Oh well, I did it anyway.

This shit is all new to me. I joined the touney and it started. I got my familiar and left tourney since I had no idea how to play and others were dropping like flies after it started also. But, I got no booster packs. Whats up with that? They come later after the tourney or what?

If you log back into LoN your boosters will be there. The Boosters are awarded at the end of the tourney.

Also - you don't have to buy a starter pack. You just have to "make" a deck with the cards you have. OR if you dont' have the right cards to make a playable deck to enter - or can't figure out how - you can buy a starter deck for 3k or less in the bazaar. much better buying a starter deck in bazaar for 3k than spending 10 real dollars on them. But if you have the original starter decks and never gave them away or have opened more booster decks you should be able to make a "playable" deck enough to enter a tourney. or the 3k Baz starter deck route. shrug.

Yea, I got 3 Inquisitor boosters. Was hoping for Oathbound since they have the useful potions. I guess I can trade them for Oathbound or potions themsevles. I never thought of buying a Starter Desk in he Bazaar. I won't make that mistake again. I have no idea how to create a deck so that would have been my best bet.

Thanks for the info.

If you don't have access to $4 somehow, you probably need to log off these forums and get a 2nd job!

You have 30k Cards? holy crap batman? jeezus.

best bet is to find out how many Foils you have.

Trade your Foil cards at a rate of 1 rare foil, 2 uncommon and 2 common Foils per booster pack.

You can trade rares for about 15 Rares for a booster pack.

Once you get Booster packs you can trade them at a rate of 2 booster packs to 5 EPs.

I usually have some crazy trades open with me asking for 35-50 cards and I offer one booster pack. They almost always get accepted. Some peeps have TONS and TONS of cards but want loot cards and are happy to trade their "crap" playing cards for boosters so they can open in the hopes of getting loots.

I am just saying that if you have more than 4 of any particular rare - you dont' need it. I think the exchange rate is bonkers. you have to open 15 Packs to get 15 rares - yet I make offers trading my one booster for 20 rares 20 uncommons and 10 commons and a few days later - someone gives me the cards.

See - I have over 20 boosters, and don't need them. better for me to trade them for playing cards at good rates. OR I can trade 2 boosters for 5 EPs. Stuff like that.

If I am in a tourney - then at the end of the tourney I get the same amount of Boosters as I can trade for the entry fee. its great. For example - the tourney last weekend cost 10 EPs to join. I can trade the 4 booster packs (you get 4 if you finish in the top 50% instead of the 3 boosters) for 10 or 11 EPs - and then play in another tourney. its great.
