I have a borked file on one of my toons.
The options window pops up only 3/4" wide showing just that left portion of the window (not shrunk, just truncated).
The tabs across the top are very narrow but clickable.
I can't pan over or grab the edge to resize it.

It's only on one toon and i'm not sure how it happened. If I change UI it does not change the size / shape of this window.

I assume you mean after installing old UI.

Delete all UI files... unzip old UI into its own EMPTY folder as usual... let patcher redownload default UI .. should be good to go just load old UI once in-game. You could also tweak UI_Oerin_Maelin.ini if you feel like jacking with that.

Some of the window data for OLD UI is actually pulled from the default UI folder, the Nov 13th changes added to this list of window files, so it's important that this old UI is unzipped into an empty directory rather than overwriting an old directory, since that would not remove un-needed files that get pulled from default folder.

So when I use a custom UI - ONLY the parts that I use are in the custom UI. There is ABSOLUTLY no reason to delete any files in the UI base folder - or add them into your UI folder. ONLY Files that you use are required.

But don't let my easy way influence your way.

Oerin was having a problem with a window size... thats the reason I said to delete all UI files and let patcher redownload default... along with installing new custom UI files.

OCTOBER 2008

NOTE: Since group and target windows were enlarged, I shrunk buff icons in the buff window to offset the extra space taken
NOTE: Install to a clean folder under /EverQuest/uifiles .. if you'd like to use your same folder (like /EverQuest/uifiles/default_old) then make sure and delete the files in it before copying these new files to it.

STOCK OLD UI>

OLD UI> HB1,2,3 verticle | HB4 thin horizontal

OLD UI> HB1,2 verticle | HB3,4 thin horizontal

OLD UI> HB1,2 verticle (THIN STYLE) | HB3,4 thin horizontal

Tested 08OCT08: 1:00pm EST

Edit: Once installed, and you decide you like the larger buff icons in the buff window better, replace EQUI_BuffWindow.xml with the one in this .zip file: EQUI_BuffWindow.xml zip file

OCTOBER 2008
OCTOBER 2008 Patch 10OCT08 1pm EST: Fixed Spellbook mem/scribe guages, and Leadership window XP guages (they were out of proportion vertically). Click here for the .zip file, contains 2 files to replace, works for any of the four UI variations listed below if you've already installed one of them: EQUI_SpellBookWnd.xml and EQUI_LeadershipWnd.xml (simply overwrite these 2 old files in your default_old UI folder) If you haven't downloaded one of the four main packages listed below, you'll need to download one of them first and they contain the updated files already, so no patch is necessary.
