Yeah Serano Lincoln was a dictator. But at that time in history it was exactly what the country needed.

Teddy Roosevelt? Imperialistic and a self pro-claimed "Doit my way or hit the highway" man.... dictatitorial person if I ever saw one.... Lincoln bent the rules to do what he thought it would take to preserve the nation (succesion IS supported by the constitution and the Declaration of Independence as was cited in SC's succesion act.. but thats another story)
