I was hoping he would. Though I heard a sad rumor that Emma Watson (the girl who plays Hermione) may not return for 6 and 7 :(. Just a rumor as far as I know though.

Granted he can do what he wants with his career, but I hate that he did that. Harry Potter is a movie that started, and is still very largely, geared towards kids. Whether he wants to be or not, he has all ready become a role model, icon, etc, for kids. But that is just my opionion....

Forgive me if I choose to go against the flow. Personally, I think Britney Spears turned into a slut, and Peewee Herman might as well have been a child molester. Instead of growing up and dealing with it, i'd rather grow up and and go against it. Just because it is the way things are, or maybe the way things were, doesn't mean it is the best way for things to be.

I don't recall Paul Reubens being a child molester. I thought he was caught with his pants down in a porno theater.

People think they know somebody from the bullshit they hear. Goes to show people are simply idiots. And I don't need to hear anything to know that.

Many don't know, but some great TV icons started out taking their clothes off, for example the great Sylvester Stalone "Rocky" cant get any better example here, his FIRST movie was a porno and he skyrocketed from there. All I can say is at least Harry Potter did it in taste and from what I hear his performance was awesome.

He was cought with Child Pornography, but the charges were dropped because he supposadly didn't know he posessed it.

But screw it, allready been down this road of arguments before and its not worth my time to do it again.

He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of obscenity or possesing obscene materials.

Either way, I have never read or heard he was a child molester.

I have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies or read the books. My kids do not have any interest in the series either (yet). This thread is the first I have heard about the nude photos. Isn't the actor who plays Harry Potter 18-20?

My sister (39+) has read at least the first 3 Harry Potter books - and recomended them to me, apparently not really that much diff from many of the books we read as kids- but for some reason they went mainstream. Apparently if you like Tolkien, Brooks, CS Lewis - YOuth Adventure type genre you will like Harry Potter books.

Havn't got to them. I have however recently read Star's End by someone - it was TERRIBLE. and then I read Remake by Connie Willis - it was TERRIBLE. Blah. Been reading a compilation of Heinleins short stories (out of Sequence) and while some are dated they are remarkably still relevent stories (most written in 40s). Also JUst read a compliation of 50 sci-fi short stories (45-62) also some dated but most still interesting quick reads. (Compiled by Asimov but only one written by him). And sad to say it was a first edition print (62ish) which I have ruined by reading it.
