I've been to a few of the better xp zones in TSS and was wondering if anyone wanted to visit them? There's a quest in Direwind you can do to get by the guards that block Ashengate, or you can DA by them or have someone train them and you go in. I'd like to get it done, because using WS to get by them sucks - you have to train to the zone and some retards stand afk there and when you "/ooc TRAIN to zone" they die :(.

Seems like a lot of the good quests are there. Also there's Icefall and Valdeholm.

I really would like to have some fun in these zones considering XP would be good fighting yellows and reds and still get to see new zones/spells/items :).

post some info on the quest....sounds cool.

Valdeholm won't be viable group wise until at least Tacvi geared....I played in there a bit 2000+ quads, and fast, couldn't even stand there with blast heals....also named hits 5K+

Frostcrypt looks cool....(Dungeon style zone). Didn't agro anything, but about 50-50 on see invis. Mostly red / yellow con.

Yup just tried a valdehorn mob, 2500 hits....going back to icefall. Frostcrypt and Ashengate are meant for a group of demiplate+ geared people.

So far Direwind is my favorite zone, when its not packed with 70 people. The XP is good and plenty of quests to do, spell drops to hope for, and named. The best camp I know is at the Ashengate ZI behind the 2 Guardians of the Gate. Last night we camped in front of them, but we ran out of mobs a few times.

some named in Direwind hit hard too .. named griff we killed hit 6k max .. 2 druids healed and the tank had a box cleric out of group so it was 7 of us. Only thing I think the tank was Anguish+ geared no clue on his number of AA's. Don't forget DoD and PoR gear is nice stuff too.. which we're loaded with as a whole.. so Jum and a couple others might be able to handle tankin some of this stuff.

Yeah that Ghostfeather griffon hits hard, but seemed slow (I didn't die!) Then theres other named that are pretty damn hard. That werewolf one in the wolf caves has nasty mana drain AE. A lot of them are hitting 4k+.

Not sure if everyone knows this, but there is a very easy way to get by guardians on your way to Ashengate.

There is a short cut in Direwind to get to Captain.

Near were the bears are, there is a hill that has 3 tablets on it ( Ashengate zone i think? )
Once you are up there, you can't get over to the otherside, theres like an invisible wall.
Back upto the tree near the hut ( highest point ) and with lev on, run towards the tablets and turn left.....don't turn until you are right at the tablets.....or just before them.
If you do it right, u get over and zone into where the Captain is.
Go across lava bridge and he's in right hand hut.
Might take quiet a few go's before you get over invis wall.

I found if you go up on the hill to the tree and lev down to the tree that is to the right of the tablets and turn left just around the tree, you get over. Click center tablet >>> zones you to behind the guardians.

I would be careful doing that for a few days. It's technically an exploit. I wouldn't normally worry about it, but Olihin has been power-tripping and suspending people for really stupid shit.

GM was watching the spot.

monk 1.5 prequest mob in TOFS... chain spawnable and an absolute pansy. maybe 10 aa an hour. so it is pretty remarkable xp, and kind of explotative.. but still... it's a gd QUEST mob, it's not like he was hacking to do it or anything, not any more exploitative than the people who did the pirate MM, etc.
