The writer-director of "Dogma," "Chasing Amy" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" told the Associated Press on Friday that he has begun work on a sequel to "Clerks," his homemade indie classic from 1994.
The sequel -- titled "The Passion of the Clerks"

Who cares, I'd pay my $45 to see it in theaters.

Kevin Smith can trip on soap in the bathroom and die. This movie is a horrible idea.

He makes one (1) movie outside of his 'Jersey Chronicles' and it fails (Jersey Girl) so he crawls back to Clerks after stating that the days of Jay & Silent Bob movies were over ...

Kevin Smith wrote and produced:

Clerks (94)
Mallrats (95)
Chasing Amy (97-98?)
Dogma (99)

was a writer for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)

and co-produced Good Will Hunting (97).

Not the greatest movies in the world but some good laughs along teh way. I can't wait until the sequel comes out.

Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma & Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
are collectively dubbed 'Jersey Chronicles'

Jersey Girl ... not part of the chronicles and it blew ass.

So again I say. Die Kevin Smith. Go write some other movie that has nothing to do with Jay and Silent Bob cuz your just gonna screw it up.

Kevin Smith is actually an excellent writer. I have the 8 issues of the Daredevil comic he did, and it was sweet. In a way, I agree with Del though ... enough J&S movies, he said he was done, he might as well stay done and try other avenues.

Good point, Kung. He also did a fantastic job writing "Quiver", the first dozen or so issues of the newest Green Arrow book and also did some good work writing one of the Spider-Man books around the same time. His dialogue is great and witty humor hilarious. I personally love the Jersey Chronicles and watch them quite regularly (I have all of them on DVD), but I haven't seen anything else he's done. So, I can't vouch for those movies. But I for one will be looking forward to PotC.
