I've always found that when I'm pissed off, putting a bullet in my head works best to relax me. I think more people should try it.

hehe .. ok Forco I have a much clearer picture of what you were trying to say from that next post, and I can understand being still wound up from other things that were posted. Hell maybe I was still wound up too.

Compare Tribal Fury to other top end guilds and the way we do things fairly in this economic system where most have the same opportunity? Duh its a game, I know, my point is no one likes elitists .. we're well liked because we're fair. Most people are happy because we're fair. Most people prosper, NOT JUST THE OFFICERS. Most people are HAPPY to work here and earn DKP. And, people's demeanor and actions in this game reflect simliar ideals in RL.

Anyway, there has to be a better way, and no I'm not suggesting socialism or communism, but changing capitalisms evolution into becoming more fair. Personally I could care less about being rich.. sure I'd like to be comfortable and not worry about bills... but if I'm driving a pickup or cheap car I really don't care .. its a car to get from point A to point B in moderate comfort lol.

The only reason I can see peeps generating so much hatred for anything other than capitalism, is greed, and a fear that cultivating these ideas will cut down on their personal riches. I don't think the majority of people are truly greedy, people work and buy stuff they want, thats natural.

How much could one possibly "want" or "need" tho is the point I'm making also, with respect to 1-5% of the population owning 95% of the wealth and property. Share it!! It needs to be spread out more, thats ridiculous IMO that these 1-5% of the population think they are THAT deserving, its arrogance and elitism at its peak.

I don't think a system exists that would work for us, so we have to either A. Make one .. or B. Revise the one we have. So again what I'm asking for is fairness, nothing to be hated for right? Well I guess rich guys might hate me hehe. Hell they might even have me killed like Henry Ford used to do with thugs and hitmen he hired.

That's a common ground we can stand on.
I agree wholeheartedly with the fact that there is way too much of a gap between the top class and everyone else.
The main issue with them hoarding more and more is that the basic structure of all businesses is growth. All the businesses I deal with, ( I deal with over 258 -I think now- businesses and agencies of all sizes ) is that the primary goal of all involved is growth. That means eatting up the smaller people, making more and so on.
I hate to have lost all the mom and pops in my area. I also enjoy the large go-to-one-place for everything convinience in the, for example, retail industry, like grocery stores and wal marts.
I can't deny that I enjoy the cheaper merchandise that I get from a chain that can purchase 100,000 pairs of a shoe at their great discounts as opposed to the chain that can buy 12 pairs at a time.
How many people drive imports? I do not, my pet peave, I can't give our jobs to an overseas company but I will go to Publix instead of Grandpops grocery to do my grocery shopping. I think we all fit in there somewhere.
I realize that their is a serious problem at the core of our system, but I see that same problem with each and every other system there is.
All I do is see it for what it is. I do not hate the big corps or the top class for having effectively used the system that is in place and was set forth by the people. A lot of wealth can be traced back to the very roots of our nation. It was brought here by businessmen and grown. This is not the rule, but part of the game. We set the rules in a time that was not so long ago but very different than our time today. Perhaps it is time for adjustment, I certainly believe it is. Yet the way to accomplish this change is not by sitting around hate mongering (not directed at you) or whining moaning and complaining.
I love your example, about Tribal Fury. However in the big picture hehe think first, Tribal Fury is a Big Corp. LOL yes it is. Because the world is not Tribal Fury it is Norrath. We just hold a big chunk of the players and have the power (buying power?) to go out and acquire much of what we split up.
We are still subject to the rules and the economy of Norrath. We just work effectively within those rules to accomplish growth (profit) for our members.
I would like to also say it is like a big family, but there is not that much difference between a large powerful family working together from a large powerful corp working together. EXCEPT for the point you made. Not only the officers in TF profit we all do.
That is in it's raw form the stock market. We can all own the large corps. Check out how many of the Big Corps are not public companies and you will find that many are. Not all but many. The owners (or shareholders) of those Big Corps all profit in direct proportion to what they put in (or invest).
I think we can all agree that in TF or any guild if you don't have the DKP you don't bid. Unless there is a god loot system of course but then if you don't raid you are of no use to that type of guild and loot will be destributed to the most needed classes. So the more time you invest the more you are able to get and advance. No one is getting very much for nothing. Except the twinks and alts living of the rots and Guild Bank. (Welfare?)
All in all my point is that this is MY country, I believe that were I given a choice, I would not go ANYWHERE else in the world. This is the system we have, and I am willing to work at making it better. I will never think it is done, since I am anal to the point of obsesion about things being done, We will never be done. But by God it's where I live, it's what I work for and it's what I love. I will defend it in speech and action against anyone or anything that threatens it. Yes I am proud to be an American. God Bless America and damn anyone that stands against her.

Oh so people hate america cause they have been at this government thing for 1000's of years and still don't have it right? Because we run them? Or just because we are free? Or for whatever reason?
Oh so the woooorld hates America, let goof hate them too? Fuck them! They hate us I hate them back.

Always the Jackass. You couldn't piss your mamy off by putting a bullet in your head. Let alone anyone else, by your immature attention seeking statements. You must be a lonely ... thing. The fact that some people respond to your stupity is an act of kindness.
The point remains

Forco wrote:So damn you get the fuck out if you don't like it.

I love it. It's like Worff walks into a buzzsaw in every political conversation.

I'm also realizing why I like forco.

I'm staying out of this one... I had enough in the anti business thread in humor

I have been hearing talk that suggests that what we have believed was fossil fuel is indeed not fossil fuel at all, but that it is due to work of the crust of the earth... Im no scientist so Im kinda confused at it all, but, it would be pretty good if the oil wasn't fossil related at all meaning it won't run out. For now anyways. In the long run w have to switch one way or the other. Oil is bad and on top of that we are lining the pockets of what like 12 dictators that produce oil? I was listening to a talk on the radio with one ear and listening to a client with the other today when a guy was pointing out that something like 14 nations produce oil, and like only 2 or 3 were free countries including Iraq ( A work in progress by our fine young men and women ), but that the rest are all dictators like Sodom Insane was. :razz Yeah I think those bastages are behind the gas increases. I also heard a talk regarding the fact that if we removed the entire profit margin from gas we buy at the pump from say ( ithink they used Exxon as an example) an oil company, that a 55 dollar fillup was gonna be 50 dollars. Something like 9 cents profit per gallon? I don't see any treachery there, I think it's the bastards selling us the oil... Ok ok lets invade them all and steal the oil

Heheh yeah that was a popular bumper sticker back in Carter regime .. "Whip their ass and take thier gas". Although I'd like to see negotiations instead, its still pretty catchy lol.
