And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were ou t
To tear my country apart!

On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

What is sad about our society is there are so many ignorant people who believe everything they read on the net that reading things like this will instantly convince them that Obama is a communist. News is even worse, Fox News could go on TV and claim that Obama killed Jesus and atleast some people would be convinced.

Of course others think Obama is Jesus, and is the answer to all the problems, and literally cry in the streets at the mere sight of him....

You can add a few lines such as...

Mccain and Palin came from afar
To aid the rich and confound the subpar
They carried their ignorance and warmongering ways
To shun the world in the coming days
And so it was done, in the fastest twitch
An agenda of taking from the poor and giving to the rich

(created by me,... not bad)

From the Associated Press....

Oprah Winfrey, who cried during the celebration in Chicago's Grant Park, told the TV show "The Insider": "I was so, so, so excited and then just sort of a calm came over me. It feels like it actually is kind of real, so it feels great."

Meanwhile, director-provocateur Moore responded on his Web site, saying, "Who among us is not at a loss for words? Tears pour out. Tears of joy. Tears of relief. A stunning, whopping landslide of hope in a time of deep despair."

Singer Colbie Caillat, who cried when Obama won, said she thinks "our country is in safe hands."

I have NFC who Colbie Caillat is, but I found the quote funny anyway.

The real funny thing is that Obama supporters are expecting huge change when the U.S. government isn't set up that way. Sure things will be slightly different under Obama, but I would expect that anyway. There was no radical shift when Reagan was elected, no huge government overhauls when Clinton was elected, and things pretty much stayed the same when Bush (either one) was elected. Maybe I will pay more in taxes (highly likely), maybe Obama will order the bombing of some country(highly likely), maybe the US will get hit with some terrorist attack(maybe), but somehow I do not expect a "Star Trek" utopia where everyone gets along and has no need for money anymore.......

When Obama's tax plan takes place I want to know if you ended up paying more taxes (unless you make more than 250k than yes, minus tax breaks from your children)

I do not believe Obama will be bombing any country, I think his intentions will be to reduce war and reduce spending in any type of war with the exception of Pakistan/Afghanistan if the time comes, but I think he will not rush like Bush did and he will also make sure he has the full support of the U.N.

Every President that I can remember has had to order strikes against some country or target on foreign soil. (that is just from memory, not actual research). Do you think Obama will sit on his hands if a terrorist strike attacks a US target home or abroad? I really hope not...if he does we are screwed.

Most independent studies I have read seem to indicate that only families making under 100k a year would see any advantage from Obama vs McCain. Families making between 100-250k would have similiar cuts/increases between the two. That also assumes that the plans they campaigned on actually were passed. That seems like a longshot given the current economic conditions...right?

Heh this thread should be moved to RL and opinion.
