I went and say the 30 Days of Night movie last night. Man that movie is nuts. Definately the best vampire movie I've seen. I loved how they portrayed vampires as almost an independant race. That, and it even got me cringing and jumping, and I'm pretty used to movies like that.
Oh yeah, and I got carded twice at the theater for the movie lol. First to buy the ticket. Then I had my ticket stub checked and they sent me to a theater, to find out that they printed the wrong ticket. So I went back to the attendant and told her what happened, and she checked my ID to make sure I wasn't some minor trying to sneak in lol. But then again, this movie definately is above and beyond R rating IMO, it pushes some limits thats for sure. Not just graphically, but mentally too. Seeing and experiencing the characters horror at having to kill former friends (or kids). I think they finally got that feeling right, no other vampire/zombie/etc movie has come close to it.
