Hit Boxes?

I know mobs have varying sized hit boxes, but do certain classes?

Maybe, based on your weapon type?

I ask this because, as a rogue I use peircers which I would percieve as "Small" weapons with limited range. It would make sense if I have to be close. The way I always imagined it was my offensive hitbox has to overlap the mobs defensive hitbox at least a little for me to score a hit.

On a few raids where AE rampage was an issue, I have avoided it, on others I have not. In particular, I remember on RZTW Angy saying if he could see our backs we were to close, and if we could see his back we were good. I looked around, and he was far enough away I could not hit RZTW?

Now, I know the first time we did it I died to Ramp, I wasn't paying attention. That time though I was very cautios to walk the line of OOR. I still died, but I am unsure if I died from Ramp or AE as I have deleted my log since.

I'm wondering if certain classes have different hit boxes, if different weapons do, or if it's all in my head. If the weapons are the case, a 1hs may be a good investment for a secondary for me. If it's class, there is nothing I can do except be more careful, and ditto for if this is all in my head.

I'm not looking to make excuses, just still somewhat new to some raid concepts especially as a melee, so I'm trying to know all I can.

max melee range is the same size for all classes, regardless of weaponry. (well, except I guess bowing rangers =p)

Not sure if weapons affect melee range or not but i've noticed when i switch from a 2 hander to a 1 hander i usually have to take a step into the mob to get back into melee range. :?

I tested this back when you could attack soul binders, since they're totaly stationary.

I can tell you my piercing, h2h, 1h and 2hb all had the same range.
