Warriors & Runes

So as casters can turn in runes for spells, melee can turn those runes in as well for disciplines!!

Granted, Warriors for example get 1 at the most per level and for lvl 67 they get nothing!!

So warriors out there, there are some new discs if you want them

The Steel Warrior, Muramite Rune/Skills

From what I read, the lvl 69 Upgrade to Incite is the best of any to get. The lvl 66 one lets the warrior proc a 400hp rune, sounds pretty damn neat.

The lvl 68 disc is an upgrade to Mightystrike. Instead of all crits or crips depending on health, it would appear that it either lets you crip on every hit regardless of health or that its just identical to Mightystrike but the hits are just harder.

The lvl 70 disc lets you proc a stun. I can't wait to see which mobs can actually be affected by the stun.

I still haven't gotten the 66 Disc for Waystin but when i do I'll report back with what I find.

So, shortly after I wrote the above post, I went out and bought Aura of Runes Discipline.

It is on the same timer as Spirit of Rage discipline.

The duration is 60 seconds. The rune never appears in your buff window.

I'm not sure if WA affects it at all and until I raise my WA skill I can't say for sure on that.

Typically I use the rune when I want to use defensive but don't feel like waiting for defensive to repop which is 8minutes. The reuse timer for the rune disc is 10minutes but since it isn't such a vital ability it goes by pretty quick.

The other time I will use it is after defensive is finished during a raid encounter. After I declare defensive being down, I pop the aura of runes. Chances are that at this level you are tanking mobs hitting for 600-1100dmg. a once-in-a-while 400hp rune is not even gonna register as a blib of mitigation compared to raid boss mobs DPS.

But, any extra tools that aren't broken are worth having. Unfortunately this ability eats tons of endurance. So typically after defensive is over I don't have enough left over to get the entire rune disc before running out of endurance.

Something to be careful of because with no endurance it takes time to accumulate enough for an Incite should you still need to worry about aggro.

I paid 21k for this a few weeks ago and I don't regret it. Given the chance I would not pay that much for it again.

Yok, the lvl 70 monk disc is a waste of endurance. You are better off getting fists of Wu and using that + dragon fang instead. Its more dps for less end.
