Syntax for game 2 game connections

Hey All,

I noticed this post by Moorgard from the eq2 boards.

There's a handy guide to cross-game communication that has just been posted on our EQ2Players news site. Enjoy!

I would also like to point out that EQ players have two ways to create chat channels, one of which allows players from other games to join while the other is EQ-only.
EQ players should create channels with the "[join channelName" command if they want their channel to be accessible to EQ2 and SWG players. Using the "/join channelName" command will create a channel (chat room) that can only be accessed within EQ.

Take Care and .../waves

I posted alot of info about that on the Links thread in this section. I tried to get it working, even pestered Serano for awhile :)

Could someone make a channel like it says to above and post the name? Maybe that will finally work.

Yeah I have tried to join Tfchat when playing EQ2, and end up in a channel by myself. I will have to log on both games and see if it works with the new syntax. Maybe we could change the way we join tfchat if this works, so we can bs with our eq2 friends.

I saw this today when I came back from afk

[Mon Jun 13 16:17:16 2005] EQ.Maelin.Amedeos:EQ.Maelin.Amedeos\/a tells EQ.Maelin.tfchat (5),"hi"
[Mon Jun 13 16:17:34 2005] EQ.Maelin.Amedeos:EQ.Maelin.Amedeos\/a tells EQ.Maelin.tfchat (5),"wow it it works"

Can anyone verify whether TF is currently empty or not? I'm getting no responses :)

I am in there now, but it is a completely different channel than /join tfchat...although in text window it still says tfchat:1 blah blah blah.

I dont know how to see who is in the channel either.

In EQ 2, you type /whochannel #

Heya, Sapphire, Amedoes is my trader, I was takin' a break from homework and thought I'd give it a shot. Sorry I couldn't respond :)
I don't see a way for '[join tfchat' to be autojoined as '[autojoin tfchat' just returns 'invalid command', nor do I see a way to change the colors, which idiots like me need to keep their channels somewhat straight in their heads. '[list' and [list #' works and apparently '/join tfchat' and [join tfchat' are two different channels. I'll keep messing around with it. And harassing you guys in the process :poked:

The cross game channel dropped every time I zoned. [list <channel#> works on eq to show who is in channel.
