yah looks like, instead of buying broken steal as DLC (avail now) if we wait until August, we can buy it in a bundle with this point look out. Then again, they might sell the point lookout as solo DLC as well.

/shrug.

Ahh nice, thanks. Well yeah they may not release it as a bundle DLC, but never know... August isn't all that long to wait to find out either so it's all good :) Beat original game on Hard, but not yet Insane.... some mobs on Insane are .. freakin insane! hehe So, August is ok for time to finish that too $$

Hmm, I had forgot about difficultly settings. I only played it thru once, I think I usually pick the 2nd from toughest difficulty setting when given the option on most games I play.

Deathclaws are a pain in the ass on the harder difficulties. I watch my brother play sometimes and they are freaky fast. The DLC is pretty nice, i've seen about half the broken steel one and all of the others. Broken steel looks by far the best.

I will be honest, the first two seemed liike crap - so I didn't even look at them. I didn't want to pay $10 in order to play an alaska simulator. the other one might be ok - but wouldn't want to do it wihtout the ability to go over 20 and not die at the end.

So after I get BS, I might seriously look at the second one.

Aye those deathclaws are fast mofo's! And on harder difficulties takes a lot of pepper to bring em down. Use the dart gun tho it cripples both their legs and they run much slower (kinda like snaring them) .. can outrun them running backwards for a short time while fillin em full of lead. Deathclaw Sanctuary obviously use a stealth boy lol.

I don't think I ever bothered going to DCS - as it was off the main story line, and I never got around to exploring every nook and cranny. I got so much less reward for doing anything after 20 - I didn't quite see the point without bennies.

There is a bobblehead in DCS is only reason to really go there... if you collect them that is. There are quite a few other sub-quests and zones that really don't need to be done, but once you've beat the game a couple times its just something to strive for (like collecting all bobbleheads).

If you're just bored and want a badass battle try the Capital building hehe.... or REALLY bored then kill everything that moves in Rivet City haha (some NPC are unkillable like Shrapnel and other critical NPC to main storyline or some other merchants) .. then just fast travel back 24 hours later and the survivors forget your rampage, some even have unique dialogue options but they really don't do anything other than amuse you :P

Yeah DCS has a few goodies, the above mentioned bobble head and also a named gatling laser. I never use the gatling lasers, but if that floats your boat its there. Speaking of hard enemys, I ran into some super mutant overlords today, wow do they pack a punch. Ton of hp and they have a tri-laser rifle that rocks. Still have yet to run into a feral ghoul reaver, but my brother assures me they are the hardest mob in the game.

I do that sometimes in Megaton Worff, especially when dealing with the crazy children of the atom people.

hmm... yah I think I wandered into the captial building. IIRC that was the one with blackthorne(?) and the super mutants fighting it out. Took me like 4 trips to get all the loot out of there AFTER I upgraded all the weapons to perfect condition.

Yah I did pretty good at finding the bobble heads - I made a point out of not looking up where bobble heads were until AFTER I had cleared a map - I would check to see if there was one there and missed it or not - so I didn't know "where" to go for the next bobble head. kinda the way I play em you know.

Vault 106 was toughest bobblehead IMO .. well not tough getting to it, just creepy battles... and changing map making it tough to find your way out lol. To me Vault 106 was an annoyance more than anything, but very well done imaginative scenario on Bethesda's part $$

106 the one with everyone named the same or the one with the psychodelic flashback thingys? those and the deathclaw ones seemed pretty straight forward IIRC.

Also read that for whatever reason, they are now letting some of the creators of the orignal fallout 1&2 use Bethesda's engine to make Fallout Las Vegas. Fallout 3.5 if you will.

Psychodelic... you see things that arent really there... some of the mobs that are there go stealth on ya in mid battle... and the map changes constantly meaning finding your way out is not just going back the way you came, since it's rotating different maze layouts on the fly. Annoying lol I just wanted it over with :P

Hmm interesting... I'd buy it :)

Well, if ya thought Vault 106 was psychedelic then you're in for another trip in Point Lookout. =P

Found a short review of it at MaxPC - Four Things You Need to Know About Fallout 3: Point Lookout
