Hmm, I think many of these look like great changes. The monk change was totally unecessary when it happened and I'm glad they are changing it back, ditto with manaburn. A possibility for warriors to solo some is also pretty cool IMO.

I'm not that concerned with the bard changes... They are removing a hard cap on instrument mods and replacing it with caps on certain songs so that they wont scale forever. I'm one of the few bards that think we are ok in our current state... sure we don't mitigate damage like other plate classes but, we're not supposed to tank. We don't do much melee or magic damage but, the effect that bards have on the DPS of other classes can be considered dps that we are repsonsible for.

As far as some of the other things with bards and other classes that need attention...

Once again I would like to remind you that this is the beginning of the changes and there is still more to come. We encourage you to openly discuss these changes and let us know what you think. We want this to be a cooperative exchange and we will chime in on your discussions when appropriate.

Heh I love the EQ haters THEY STOLE FROM WOW!!!! OH NO response. I do wish EQ would upgrade thier graphics to 2002 levels like WoW did though.

Knights got nothing, except for a limited defensive spell (only if you have DoN) DPS classes seem to benefit the most from this patch. It would have been nicer if the defensive classes had been upgraded somewhat, but I guess giving DPS classes more healing and defensive abilites was thier solution.

Where did you see that Pally aggro was nerfed Eeven?

For fuck's sake i don't actually PLAY WoW ... just think it's funny that SoE started listening to what people bitched about as soon as they had some vaild competition (not counting Horizons and other wash-outs).

Some of these changes are long overdue and it took another company's serious bid for the MMORPG crowd to make Sony remove head from anus and DO something about it.

And seriously, if you'd like to flame me let's take it to PMs.

On another note ... WTF druids get STANCES? Why not add a Buff Stance and a Port Stance too. And with all the stances i expect to see an air-juggle combo and a special KO move coming soon.

Shaman at 66 have:

1. a 1k nuke
2. a 2k heal that takes 10 seconds to cast
3. ok nice dots (that break root btw)
4. No snare
5. a mostly gimp pet
6. a decent heal over time.
7. No damage shield
8. A fair number of buffs that other classes want

And Sony's response is...

we are looking to increase your healing ability so you can function better as main healer in groups. You folks are a little problematic though, since your healing ability is the function of not just your heals, but your ability to reduce an NPCs damage output through slows.

But they have no issue with giving beastloards better slows.... hmmm.

Shaman, jack-of-all-trades and master at nothing.

I am not goign to lie....after this patch...I would want a BST in my grp as main slower over shammys.

The Damage differance from a mob 65% slowed and a mob 75% slowed is no big deal to me.

So the Extra DPS the bst offer make the kills go by faster, thus less healing needed.

Gimmie the BST as main slowers in grp!

Monks are getting nothing new, we are simply getting our dmg mitigation back that they stole from us so long ago.

Just when I thought Jah was finally gonna get the nerf bat, they make him more powerful :jester
