Ad-Aware

Free personal version. It is what I use and works perfectly.

yeah, Ad-Aware Se personal Edition is free and very good. Also Microsoft released a beta version......I run both spybot and Ad-aware, one always picks up something the other misses....

I would also suggest switching to Mozilla Firefox as a web browser. It's really easy and I never get any spyware anymore...in the 3 weeks I've been using it. It's also free :thumbup

I'd check out the article at:

http://www.windowssecrets.com/050127/

Livingston's a very reputable source... and that research doesn't look good for programs like ad-aware. Check into MS' beta spyware program.
