My Precious - The Ring - The watering hole.

Postby Serano » Mon Nov 22, 2004 10:06 am

I am going back to that camp again and again until it drops some more runes and rings. That is just ass 3 hours with just one named poped and he dropped that belt. Sure I already have the belt - but for those with a haste belt it is just worthless.

Either way, Kaylar, Mosrael and any other obsessed with the ring - I am going back again and again. whatever it takes. One day our luck will change and we will get more than 1 named in 3 hours.

Obsessed - and lets hope my dice are bad - cause I will keep wanting to go until I get one too.

Ring

Postby Goofydoofy » Mon Nov 22, 2004 10:13 am

I just looked this thing up last night. The Watering Hole expedition. I'm all over this is you'll have me. I want one of those rings and I need at least 7 runes. Look me up. I'm on Tues, Thurs thru Sun this week.

Heh, that camp was putting me out cold like a Million-Dollar-Dream from Ted Dibiase.

Seriously, don't do that place if you are tired.

Serano, I want to help you just so you don't torture other Tribals ><

Waystin may have to wrestle you for the ring tho ser ;)

I think he said it best when Andy Kaufman said:

I only wrestle women!

These expeditions were nerfed way too hard. I can see if you want a particular item.....but these are no longer good for runes imo, and can often be buggy. Better off in WoS and MPG or even Causewell for those.

I have been to WoS a couple of times, but only actually hunted there once. Yes runes did drop, but I didn't win any. No biggie there. I wouldn't mind checking out NC since you have to run through that zone to get to WoS. I hate running through that zone.

When did they change the drop rate anyways? I want that ring darn it, and I want me to win this time on the roll, not a rogue. * :spank Cexser for winning it the last time *

They changed the drop rate the same patch that pet's owners could be invis and the pet wouldn't poof.

Which was the same patch that they made the bats and rats KoS.

Which was the same patch they made some of the Murkgliders see invis.

Nazar and Jah invited me to a WoS pet group the other night. We dropped countless named. I got a 66 rune for Drannor and a new 2-hander for Waystin. I left there a very happy camper!

Mage pets > WoS named.

nc is a nerfed pos zone now imo i use to farm there daily and bring in anywhere from 4-12 runes a day and decent tribute loots but now it seems they killed name rate there to one out of 10 ph's it seems and the mobs are on 20 min timers and even now they only drop one out of 3 times , so you do the math. if you want runes though like 69 ones i suggest you all get the info on the raid mobs there and go farm them out the 2-4 group ones are up on a constant basis. wos is still pretty good on runes and mpg.

lol yeah, WoS south field named are cake. me and uilea have even duod them haha.

pet groups out there are simply unbeatable, a group of all dps? yes plz

even today i had my pet MT and me main heal fora cubby group, droped 4 named, but the dps on those mobs was pretty rough on the pet, could do it pretty easily with a mage pet though i believe.

what were we talking about? a ring?

WoS

Postby Goofydoofy » Mon Nov 22, 2004 2:13 pm

Anytime I've killed in WoS, the named rate is fairly high. The rune drop rate is almost common. I'd say one out of every four named. Good place to kill.

For Exp - and runes --- I would agree WOS.

But that ring only drops in two places. Watering hole and Bazaar.

to that I would reply better off camping the Bazaar.

We could camp in WoS and sell drops to buy you the ring ;)

I definitely think the arguement exists that if you have a group that can handle WoS, don't go to the Watering Hole. If you can't go to WoS, then go to the Watering Hole.

The ring can't cost more than 1-2 Minor runes.
