MLB playoffs

I know we have a few baseball fans in (and not in) TF.

Who is the favorite?

Who would you like to see play in the world series?

Yankees-Red Sox ALCS?

In the American League I would like to see the Yanks and Red Sox play in the ALCS, that is always great baseball.

I think the Red Sox are the favorite if Curt Schilling pitches well. If the Red Sox and Yankees play I have no confidence that Pedro Martinez can win the big game, the Yankees just have his number.

Personally I hope Houston makes it to the World Series to face either the Yanks or Red Sox. How great would it be if the Red Sox had to beat Roger Clemens in the 7th game of the World Series to win it all? The same scenario would be sweet if the Yankees made the World Series too.

Sox all the way.

We have had the Yanks # all yea year long.

So basically the Sox have gone 42-18 since the trade deadline to end the season as the hottest team in baseball going into the playoffs.

Sox Own Angles
Sox Own Minn ( Who beat teh yankees in Rd1 in playoffs)

I agree Zyzz, Yanks could lose in the first round. If the Yankees do make it to the second round vs. the Red Sox, I like the Yankees in round 2 unless Schilling pitches 3 times (and he might). I dont think Pedro will win the big game for the Sox ever, where I think that Schilling is the Roger Clemens/David Wells/Jack Morris type and will be $$ in the big games.

The National League I don't follow as much so I don't know the teams as well.

very funny.

Here's another joke:

A car full of lesbians and a car full of gay men decide they are gonna race each other across the country from California to Maine.

Which carload makes it there first?

The lesbians win. They were going 69 the whole way while the guys were still home packing their shit.

All the Sox have to do is study some tape like in football.. Cue up the 22-3 ass-whoopin' that Cleaveland handed the Yankies, and tkae notes... ROFL!

My manager at work wanted to kick my ass when that happened, because I left like 6 copies of that headline all over the office! He always gets revved up when someone mentions them losing and says, "That is just one game.. NY has won 23 pennants! No one else can say that!"

Then I remind him that they lost 22-3 to a team that historically is so bad, they made a movie about it. LOL.

I guess I just don't like teams like the Yankees or the Dallas Cowboys in Football, because it seems like 60% of their fans are only fans when they're winning. Jumping on the bandwagon is no thx in my book.. LOL.

My team just got eliminated, so no Cubbies in the post-season for me.

I hate to say it but the yankees cleaned our clocks like 2 weeks ago. I put more value on that then the beating they took from the indians which was probably an inside bet from jeter to see how mad they could get steinbrenner.

I am not much of a sports fan (cough cough) but I think they said on the radio yesterday that the Sox (?) beat our Angels (?) yesterday? I only halfway paid attention because you guys were talking about it here...
