Open letter to the tribe

Postby Serano » Sat Aug 29, 2009 7:56 pm

Been a strange summer.

Sucks that we have just lost our new raid leader, but we are having Aenlar take over as our primary raid leader. No one else came forward, with the same enthusiasm as Aenlar, or at all really. Please support him in his new capacity by attending raids regardless of targets as we assess what we can still do with who we have.

Summer is almost over, which sometimes gets us some returning members. make sure to make them feel welcome as you see them start poping on.

Our goal remains returning to MMM access raids with success, in orde4 to open the door for MMM raids obviously. Work on your non-raid MMM access if you haven't completed it yet. we need all available players to make the Raids in the coming week to assess where we are and get our MMM access raid force back on track to farm Steamfactory and get back to Deepscar and Bigbynn raids. IT is frustrating to lose, but we have to all attend in order to enable victories.

Ok, lets see what a couple weeks bring us and figure it out after that.

With all the people in TF, nobody at all wants to lead raids except for the newly tagged members?? Somebody pay me not to work and I'll lead raids!

We have talked about bonuses to raid leaders in the past, like extra DKP, a bonus DKP, or some other incentive, never really got much interest.

I'd encourage the officers to institute a raid leader bonus, to compensate the RLs for the additional stress.

I'd like to appologize for not being available the past several weeks. Officers have known the deal but wanted to fill everyone in. For the past 6-8 weeks I've spent most of my free time searching for and finalizing a new house for me and family, packing up, moving, etc. Finally got it moved but new house is in major disarray, haven't got computers even setup yet. My wife never gets rid of ANYTHING rofl ... was a huge undertaking and will take some time to get new place organized, but I will try and hurry so I can be more useful again. I miss being in-game and hanging out with all of ya'll, and I've missed getting to know most of the new folks. Anyway, sorry again, wil be back online as soon as possible.

ANd here I go on another weekend trip. Leaving Friday morning to Catalina. Hell, might even go sleep on the boat Thursday night, not sure - we get the boat at 5 PM Thursday, even tho we weren't planning on leaving until Friday morning. Won't be back until Sunday night.

hah, funny thing is, this is a refund of the sailing trip we were supposed to do last year, but lost the rudder connectivity to the tiller assembly. My dad has a sailing club membership, which "dues" add into his boat charter kitty. And he didn't go sailing since that trip, so not only does he have this one for "free" dues already paid, I think we have about 7-10 days of sailing we need to burn before he ends his membership next year when I move to Kansas.
